Thames Riviera Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

Just returned from a 2 night stay in this riverside hotel. Good location for exploring. Stayed in Room 415, a bit old fashioned but spacious and clean. Lots of parking spaces. Staff friendly. The food was excellent, better than some restaurants I could name. I understand they have a new chef, so hope he stays as we plan to return in the Spring!

Booked the Thames Riviera for a big birthday party for my wife. We had about 50 guests. The party was held in the small annex next to the hotel and we had the exclusive use of both rooms in the building. The rooms had been recently redecorated and were perfect for our use. The food was plentiful, varied and well presented and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and polite. Couldn’t find fault with anything.

The hotel itself needs some investment (lifts installed and a general refurb) but having said that, there is a lot to be said in its favour. First is that the staff were delightful - very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Second was we had a very nice room with a double aspect view of the river. It was clean, well appointed and warm - no problems. Third, is the location which is both close to good restaurants and the centre of Maidenhead but also the River Thames Path is right next to the hotel with delightful river walks in both directions. Yes, the breakfast was a bit basic but for the price, it was all pretty good value for a weekend stay. Yes, it needs some improvements going forward but I’d go back, definitely.

We had fantastic time in a surprise overnight stay for my Birthday. The rooms were lovely and comfy and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding. Paul in particular was fantastic in the hospitality skills...Paul also advised us on lovely walks to go on around the area to see the beauty around the hotel area and along the Thames which we really appreciate. Would we return.. Yes we certainly would. 5* given and a massive Thanks to All staff from room cleaners to kitchen staff, chefs and serving staff, the lovely reception staff and a big shout out for Paul..thank you for making my Birthday stay special.

AK and Paul were fantastic hosts to me and my sister. They made us feel special and welcomed. The service was exceptional and the food delicious. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you both and to the rest of the staff who all contributed to an experience we will always remember.

We have just had 3 amazing nights at the Thames Riviera Hotel. A warm welcome, and as we were early we had a lovely freshly prepared lunch. Paul (waiter) advised a circular walk along and over the river to fill time . We were checked into room 205 which has a dual aspect view of the river, spotlessly clean and well furnished. The food was all excellent, freshly cooked and pleasantly served for Evening meals & Breakfast. We both agreed it is the best hotel food we have ever experienced, & the friendliness of all the staff made it a memorable short break. Our grateful thanks to all.

Had an awesome time at our GLS Christmas party here. Great vibes all night and ambiance is perfect! The food was delicious, service was spot on, and everything ran smoothly. A huge shoutout to Emilia, housekeeping Manager who made sure we are comfortable and welcomed. Bardzo dziękuję! Such a great place for a work party, świetna robota! Would definitely recommend.
